Julie Chen Moonves will host the popular reality show that has been a summer sensation Big Brother. The show will return to CBS on 5 August for its third season. Chen Moonves has been involved in The Talk since 2010, in which she served as both moderator and host. The real reason she was interested in the show came after she began writing and received an Emmy. She also won an Emmy for hosting an excellent entertainment talk show. The Talk examines contemporary events using the perspective of five female hostesses. Chen Moonves hosted CBS News The Early Show's early morning news broadcast The Early Show for a 10 years. She was the anchor for The Early Show as well as CBS Morning News. The CBS Television Network broadcasted a half-hour of news at the beginning of the morning. Chen Moonves also covered the war in Iraq, among other major stories, on The Early Show. She was sent to Cairo after 9/11 and conducted an intimate and fascinating interview with the father of the primary hijacker. Chen Moonves's interview subjects include journalists including former New York City City mayor Rudy Giuliani; Queen Rania Jordanian, William Cohen (former Defense Secretary) as well as celebrities such as Denzel Washington. Prior to that, she worked as a reporter at ABC NewsOne, the network's affiliated news service (1992-1995) and as a desk-assistant within ABC News' Los Angeles Bureau (1990-1991) and all the while finishing her last year of college at the University of Southern California. This was her first time working in broadcasting, as a Desk Assistant for ABC News' late-night show Nightline featuring Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel remains one of her favorite journalists. Chen Moonves, who won Columbia du-Pont for the primetime Anatomy of a Riot special in 1992, which focused on the Los Angeles riots, worked alongside Koppel.
