Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. Her reporting in Charleston on police leniency towards DUI cases led to an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell worked as a anchor and investigative reporter at the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV before joining Access Hollywood as a weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent.
